So in my last post I touched a little bit on diet. We all know that this is an integral part to health. There is an endless amount of research telling you that high cholesterol and blood sugars increase risks of heart disease, strokes and other life threatening diseases. Not to mention an “unhealthy BMI” but what does this mean and what can we do about it!
Without taking a degree in nutrition it’s hard to know what makes up a balanced and healthy diet. In steps the NHS. They have introduced a scheme called “Change 4 Life” which has helpful ways of planning healthy meals by portion control and swapping unhealthy with healthier ingredient alternatives. It has worked wonders with my clients who stick to the advice and is the perfect harmony between dieting and a healthier lifestyle.
